303 Patterns is a small, independent app. Here's exactly what happens to your data — in plain language, with nothing buried in fine print.
Your details are encrypted
The personal and free-text bits you type — your name, your email address, and the names and descriptions you give your songs and patterns — are encrypted at rest. Your email is encrypted in a way that still lets the app look it up when you log in, but not read it at a glance. Your account is protected by a securely hashed password.
Your data is never for sale
I will never sell your data or your email address — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. There are no trackers and no ad networks here. The app is kept alive by kindness, not by selling you.
What your email is for
Your email address does two everyday jobs: it keeps your patterns tied to your account, and it lets the app send you the essentials — like a password reset when you need one. That's it for the routine stuff.
When I'll actually contact you
Beyond those basics, I'll only email you for two reasons: because you've reached out for support, or because something's happened that genuinely affects you or your account and you need to hear it from me directly. No newsletters, no "we miss you" nudges, no marketing.
I don't go poking around your account
Your account and your patterns aren't reviewed, analysed, or watched. The only times I'd ever look are if you've explicitly asked me to — say, to help sort out a problem — or if an account is causing trouble for everyone else, like spam or hogging shared resources.
The only thing measured is errors
To keep the app healthy, errors and technical logs are sent to a monitoring service (AppSignal) so I can find and fix problems. Anything sensitive in those logs is filtered and redacted before it leaves the app. There's no usage tracking or analytics beyond keeping things working.
